What can you do with our application ?

Our first feature will be a calendar. This calendar will allow us to access the different dates and events of our application. You can receive notifications on your smartphone in order to learn what women did on this day. Thus, you can just read the 2 lines about the fact which appear on your screen or you can be more interested by the fact and go to the application to read more and learn more. Of course, you can chose to discativate the notifications if you want to learn by your own on the application, and not be informed every day.

Once you have selected a date, you will discover a significant historical event related to one or more women, as well as a quick explanation and an illustration. These events are meant to be inspiring and attractive, to encourage you to learn more about them. You can navigate between different days, months on the calendar. For instance, you go and see what happened on your brother birthday !

Our goal is also to highlight people who are already fighting for women's rights. That's why we decided to create partnerships with existing associations. This allows us to highlight their events and actions on our calendar and you can join their cause and subscribe to their social networks by following their links.

How do you use Athena?

How to you use this app?


Here is a short presentation of our features.
As you can see in the video, you have a presentation interface that shows a calendar with many interactive buttons.
All buttons are interactive: the main menu, the search bar, the notifications button, the networks and partners button, the contact button, the "about us" button. Indeed, you can change month easily by using an arrow, you can click on any date to find the explanations about the event of this date. Once you are on the event you can decide to share it on the networks by clicking on share. If you find the information relevant, you can decide to activate the notifications by clicking on the bell and when you activate the notifications, you can see a preview of what the notification looks like. Finally, if you ever want to know more about the partners and their social networks, just click on the partners button in the main menu.

What is our idea ?

According to surveys and social researchs, women want to innovate, create a company or candidate for an important positions but they will not do so : because the society make them believe that it is too difficult for women. Because of the current context and the struggle for gender equality, our project aims to illustrate important moments for women, to illustrate milestones achieved by women.

What is our aim ?

Our aim is therefore to "Ensure Women's full and effective participation in leadership at all levels of decision-making"; and for this we thought that the best way to achieve a situation like the one represented is to show the great changes and events to which women have contributed while allowing users to enhance their general knowledge on the subject.
